Group Commitment Guidelines

Peace is our gift to each other ~ Elie Weisel
Being on time at sessions helps yourself as well as others. When meditation promptly begins, please silence your devices so as not to interrupt the room during class. You are welcome to unmute before and after.
Being present and with each other during the meditation helps not only yourself but the group as a whole and it extends outwards into the world. Scientific research on telomeres (protective tips on our chromosomes), shows that what we are thinking and feeling affects those around us. https://www.mindandlife.org/books/telomere-effect-revolutionary-approach-living-younger-healthier-longer/
If you wish to speak before or after community meditation, pause-relax-open(accept)-trust emergence of whatever may follow.
Discerning what is helpful and what is not to share or express means to be sensitive to others.
Being open--responding, rather than reacting, to one another is part of the meditation practice - If you hear something offensive, pause and reflect, “why am I reacting?”
Accepting and trusting each other, in spite of our sometimes unskillful expression of inner conflict and emotions contributes to keeping the sense of equanimity we are all striving for.
Being lean of speech.
Respecting confidentiality of anything shared.
Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. This space holds all of humanity.
